Teen Girl Coastal Retreat

This client was ready to give her daughter's bedroom a fresh new look! The room was pretty basic without a lot of personality of her teen daughter. There were even still elements of her little girl years. The daughter was dreaming of a beach themed room in shades of aqua with pops of pink. She didn't want it over the top beachy, but subtle vibes. When I met with her, she came ready!! She was so sweet with her Pinterest boards of exactly what she wanted. We had a great time putting her dreams into reality and giving her a room that felt a lot more like her!

Creating That Teen Beach Vibe

I wanted to create a space for this sweet teen that felt cool and fun. Moving out of those little girl years can be hard and I wanted the space to still feel youthful. She knew she wanted a calm affect with beach art. Utilizing her favorite color the room was painted from gray to a light aqua.

Adding the Details

I added soft shades of blues and dusty pink to create that beachy sunset feeling. The calming ocean waves with pink sky tones. I also added fun seashell items and beach artwork.

Soft and Fluffy

I also added a soft fluffy aqua colored rug for texture and color. We weren't replacing flooring in the room, so a great way to work around this is to add a fun area rug.
