After receiving my Associates degree in Interior Design in 2000, I worked for many years in the kitchen/ bath design area. I primarily worked with new construction in custom homes. I loved designing peoples dream kitchens! In 2005 I had my first child and continued to try and balance work and family for a couple of years. Then I found out I was expecting my second child and the housing market crashed simultaneously. This seemed like a good time to take a break from design and be a full time mom. During the years of raising my two kids I took on many volunteer roles and some small jobs to keep me active and part time busy. I have loved being a stay at home mom, but now that they are older, I am ready to head back to design.

 

I decided to return to college to brush up on my skills and get my Bachelor's Degree in 2022. Balancing life and school kept me on my toes full time! I have learned so many new skills that weren't around 20 years ago and have become a much better designer for them. I have honed my hand rendering, learned to design virtually, and digitally render as well. I was awarded the Design of Distinction Award from Kravet Furniture for my hospitality project.

I strongly feel that every design should be unique to the location and people it is being designed for, and because of that I am a great listener and focus on what can make your space special. I am extremely detail oriented and will put that to work for your design.

Some of the things I love doing (when not designing) are enjoying good food, reading, spending time with family (my husband, daughter, son and cat), and traveling. We absolutely love seeing and exploring new places!
